Suspended Ciclovia di Limone between the mountain and Lake Garda

Ciclovia di Limone

Ride above Lake Garda.

Limone’s suspended lakeside path is a moment to enjoy slowly — lake on one side, mountain on the other, and the route understood before you set off.

The experience

From Limone to the water, one unhurried moment at a time.

02 · Capo Reamol

The curve where the lake takes over.

After the town and the gentle access, Capo Reamol brings the iconic suspended section: rock, water and a view that rewards an unhurried pace.

What the ride feels like

Six moments, from the shop to the return.

Think of these six moments as a taste of the ride. When you collect your bike, we will show you the best way to begin and share the little details that make the route easier to enjoy.

  1. 01

    We prepare your bike

Start at Via IV Novembre 20. We adjust the bike, explain the first part of the ride and make sure you feel comfortable before leaving.

  2. 02

    The waterfront and old Limone

Ride beside the lake and slip into the atmosphere of old Limone, where colourful houses, little lanes and glimpses of water set the pace.

  3. 03

    Through the historic centre

In the busiest pedestrian lanes, simply walk the bike for a few minutes and enjoy the centre, the limonaie and the olive trees without rushing.

  4. 04

Via Nova and the gentle rise

Beyond the Sé stream, Via Nova crosses mixed surfaces and green edges. Expect light gradients and one short climb.

  5. 05

Capo Reamol and the suspended view

Then comes the moment everyone remembers: the path opens above the water, with rock beside you and Lake Garda stretching out ahead.

  6. 06

One last look, then back to Limone

At the end of the protected Limone section, pause for the view and return along the same beautiful route. The busy state road ahead is not the continuation of the cycle path.

Route clarity

The view is continuous. The cycle path is not — yet.

What it is

A scenic shared walking-and-cycling experience in Limone, ending before the busy road and returning along the same lakeside route.

What it is not

A continuous protected cycle route from Limone to Riva del Garda, a complete loop around the lake, or a promise that access and conditions will be the same every day.

Riva–Sperone is a separate Trentino section. It does not complete a protected connection to Limone; check its official status on your travel day.

The ride at a glance

A beautiful outing, with just enough effort to feel the journey.

Choose the bike

Match the setup to the day, not only the distance.

Recommended for a calm Limone ride: E-City.

For easy sightseeing, short relaxed paved stretches and riders who value assistance, an E-City is the most comfortable starting point. The team confirms size, setup and availability.

If you would like to save effort on the access and changing gradients, an E-City or E-Trekking can make the ride feel more comfortable. Assistance does not remove the climb, weather or the need for control.

1

E-City

Calm Limone sightseeing and shorter easy riding.

City Bike can also suit a confident adult who prefers no assistance.

2

E-Trekking

Longer paved days and changing gradients.

Minimum internal fit filter: 160 cm; final fit and stock are confirmed by the team.

3

E-MTB

Hills, loose terrain or a more adventurous plan beyond the easy Limone experience.

It is not required for the suspended path and is never an invitation to continue on the SS45bis.

Families and children

Plan for the people, not just the route.

The route is classified as easy, but a good family outing still depends on each rider’s confidence, bike fit, heat, wind, pedestrian traffic and conditions that day.

A child riding their own bike

Tell us height, experience and confidence — not only age. Internal size filters for kids’ e-bikes are 135 cm for 24-inch and 145 cm for 26-inch; they do not guarantee ability or availability.

Child seat

For a child seat, tell us the child’s weight, date and intended bike. It supports up to 22 kg and can be confirmed only on compatible E-Trekking, E-City or City Bikes, subject to availability.

Before you pedal

Four things to settle before leaving.

Pickup and rental hours

Bike pickup is available at Via IV Novembre 20 and 46; confirm the pickup point with the team. Rental hours are 09:00–19:00.

Timing

Prefer a 09:00 pickup for more margin to fit the bike, ride slowly, pause and return. Late afternoon can work on some days; confirm wind, heat, access and return time.

Included equipment

Current bike rentals include a helmet, lock, lights and phone holder. Check the fit and current rental terms before leaving.

Day-of check

Check weather, access, works and your return time before setting out. Shop hours are not cycle-path opening hours.

Share the path calmly

A beautiful view deserves your full attention.

  • Give pedestrians priority. Ride slowly enough to stay in control; pass only with space and visibility.
  • Stop for photos only outside the flow of travel. Never block a narrow section, curve or suspended walkway.
  • Use the supplied helmet, keep front and rear lights working, and follow local signs.
  • Do not treat the road beyond the border as a protected continuation. For an emergency, call 112.

Wind, heat and access can change from one day to the next. Follow the signs and ask us for the latest local advice when you collect the bike.

After Limone

Riva by ferry, then ride Garda Trentino.

The Limone cycle path is a return ride. It ends at the Lombardy–Trentino border; the SS45bis beyond it is a busy state road and is not recommended as a leisure-bike continuation.

For a lower-stress way to reach Riva, return to Limone and consider the public boat service. Limone, Torbole and Riva are served by Navigazione Laghi, but schedules change by season and not every boat accepts bicycles.

Bikes travel on selected ordinary services, not on fast services, catamarans or speedboats. Choose a sailing marked for bicycles and confirm space with the ticket office before going to the pier; boarding can depend on the vessel, passenger traffic and the captain’s decision.
